If you need an actor to play a zombie, look no
further than professional zombie actor and cancer survivor, Billy Owen.
Billy doesn’t even need zombie makeup to scare the crap out of you!
Michele Koebke
If you have an extra Barbie doll belt lying
around and don’t know what to do with it, you could probably give it to
German woman, Michele Koebke, who has the world’s smallest waist… a
whopping 16 inches around.
Kim Goodman
Kim Goodman likes to make sure she gets a good
look at you before making any important decisions… and by that, we mean
she can make her eyeballs pop out like crazy!
Tom Staniford
Tom Staniford is an English para-cyclist who has
MDP Syndrome… a rare (and we mean frickin’ rare) condition that has
affected 8 people… IN HISTORY! Regardless, Tom is still an accomplished
cyclist.
Abigail & Brittany Hensel
We’re not sure if Abigail and Brittany Hensel are
one woman, or two, or maybe even one and a half. From the waist down,
they share one of everything. But upwards, it gets more complicated.
They have 2 hearts (one each), 3 lungs, 3 kidneys (two on one side, one
on the other), 2 stomachs, and 1 large and 1 small intestine. That’s
pretty freaky! As far as personality, they are two distinct individuals
with different likes and dislikes… but they do have an ability to
anticipate what the other one will be thinking. Officially, Abigail and
Brittany are dicephalic parapagus (conjoined) twins.
aleria “Barbie Girl” Lukyanova
Born in Moldova, but of Ukrainian descent,
Valeria Lukyanova is known the world over as “Barbie Girl” or “The Human
Barbie.” Her Barbie-like doll look is achieved through several means.
She changes her face with make-up and contact lenses. Her breasts are a
result of breast-augmentation surgery. And her thin, Barbie-like body is
achieved through a combination of specialized diet and custom workout
routine. As a point of interest, she HATES the “Human Ken” (Justin
Jedlica).
Robert “Pony Boy” Huddleston
Robert Huddleston was born in 1895 and travelled
with the sideshow for over 36 years. He was known as Pony Boy. Most
people think he was in pain and unhealthy, but Robert was not only okay
with his appearance… he was healthier than the average person and found
the way he walked completely natural. He died in 1970.
Aneta “She-Hulk” Florczyk
While Icelanders like Hafthor Bjornsson usually
take the title of Strongest Man in the World, a Polish Strongwoman,
Aneta Florczyk, has taken the female equivalent of the title! Aneta is
well built by ANY standards, but she doesn’t look like your typical
female body builder. That’s because she’s not building her body… she’s
building strength. Besides being able to lift much more than you ever
could (no matter who you are), she is also very adept at rolling cooking
pans. Yes, she crushes frying pans with her bare hands, literally
“rolling” them up! She can do 5 in one minute.
Rolf Buchholz
A German man, Rolf Buchholz, has been inducted
into Guinness World Records as the most pierced man in the world. He has
over 453 piercings on his body… 248 of which are around his genitals.
Ouch. Rolf was recently denied entry into Dubai, where he was to attend a
nightclub freak show, because border agents believed he practiced black
magic and was a security risk.
celyn “Cat Lady” Wildenstein
Jocelyn Wildenstein might have been born into a
middle-class family, but she’s had socialite blood running through her
veins ever since her first taste of dating someone rich. Eventually, she
married renowned art dealer, Alec Wildenstein. Alec had an obsessive
love of big cats (tigers, lions, oh my) and Jocelyn began to get plastic
surgeries to approximate what a big cat/human hybrid would look like.
We’d say she succeeded. Jocelyn says she is happy with the results of
her extensive surgeries.
Chandra Bahadur Dangi
Chandra Bahadur Dangi died just recently, but he
was the shortest man in the world before that! Chandra was born in Nepal
and stood at 1 foot and 9.5 inches! At one point, he even met (and was
photographed with) Jyoti Amge, the world’s smallest woman! Chandra lived
to be 75 years old!
Jasmine “Total Recall” Tridevil
Jasmine Tridevil stated that she had a third
breast added surgically, which would mean her third boob is technically
fake, but real, if you consider fake boobs to be real. Brings back some
memories of Total Recall, doesn’t it? Well, unfortunately for
all you Schwarzenegger fans out there (or even Farrell fans, with the
remake), even her fake boob is fake! Sorry, you’ll have to wait for real
mutants before we get THIS holy grail.
Francisco Domingo Joaquim
Francisco Domingo Joaquim of Angola has got a big
mouth. It’s not that he likes to insult people… no, he actually has a
BIG MOUTH! As in, the biggest one in the world according to Guinness
World Records! When Francisco stretches his lips out with his hands and
opens his mouth, all we can think is, “he’d make a GREAT zombie on The
Walking Dead!”
Mandy Sellars
A British woman, Mandy Sellars, was born with a
genetic disorder where her legs never stop growing. Since birth, her
legs have never let up, and now they’re so heavy it’s hard for Mandy to
even walk… using crutches was the only way to get around. The rest of
Mandy’s body is completely normal. She had part of her left leg
amputated (at the knee) and began using a wheel chair, but the leg has
started growing back!
Lucky Diamond Rich
New Zealander, Lucky Diamond Rich, was not born
with any tattoos, but you’d be hard-pressed not to think he was! The man
is officially recognized as the most tattooed person in the world by
Guinness World Records. He has now tattooed 100% of his body! Every
piece of exposed skin he has is covered in ink. In total, he’s spent the
equivalent of 40 days in the tattoo artist’s chair.
Nick Stoeberl
Sure, it might look a bit creepy, but we bet Nick
gets a lot of calls from ladies. That’s because Nick Stoeberl is the
proud owner of the world’s longest tongue. It measures an astounding
3.98 inches in length… JUST SHY of 4 inches. He can also finish an
ice-cream cone in record time!
Julia “The Illustrated Lady” Gnuse
There’s sexy and then there’s women, like Julia
Gnuse, who have tattoos covering 95% of the body. Now THAT’S really
sexy. The reason Julia began to get tattoos is because in her 30’s, she
developed Porphyria… a skin condition sometimes called an “allergy to
the sun”… like vampires. The sun would burn her skin and leave huge
scars, so she began to cover them with colorful tattoos of her favorite
things. She is officially the most tattooed woman in the world and has
been dubbed “The Illustrated Lady.”
Dede “Tree Man” Koswara
Dede Koswara, dubbed the Tree Man because of his
uncontrolled HPV (Human Papilloma Virus), died just recently, on January
30th, 2016. He was 42 at the time of his death and had pounds of warts
on his body that resembled tree branches. At one point, Dede got surgery
and had 13 lbs of warts removed from his body. It allowed him to live
normally and even wear flip flops… but the warts quickly returned. He
would have had to get 2 major surgeries a year for the rest of his life
to upkeep with the wart growth.
Burma’s Tribal Women
You’ve probably already see the Kayan women of
Burma at some point in a documentary. They’re crudely called “giraffe
women” by tourists. These women begin to wear brass ring coils around
their necks… beginning at the age of 5. Over the years, they trade-in
the coils for longer ones. The brass coils seemingly elongate their
necks, but in actuality, they push the clavicle down and compress the
rib cage. The Kayan women have stated that after about 10 years of wear,
the coils feel like an integral part of the body.
Melvin Boothe
Forget the fact that it’s really easy to break a
nail… regardless of whether you’re a girl or a guy! And forget the
aesthetic advantages of keeping your nails nice and neat. The REAL
question we have for Melvin Boothe, who has the longest nails in the
world, is: How do you wipe?
Female Body Builders
The quest to shape the perfect body is not just
limited to men… some women love to get ripped in the gym and then show
off their accomplishments on stage. The problem is that women have a
harder time gaining muscle than men. Steroids seem like a good (although
illegal and very unhealthy) solution, except that for women, taking
steroids has some unintended consequences… they begin to look more like
men!
Gary Turner
You wouldn’t believe your eyes if you saw Gary
Turner’s “superpower.” Gary is the man with the stretchiest skin in the
world. Just look at this picture to get an idea of how much it can
stretch. This doesn’t hurt Gary at all, and he can even pull the skin
from his neck over his face, like a surgical face mask! Very cool, but
also very nasty!
Jyoti Amge
Jyoti Amge used to be the shortest female
teenager in the world, until she turned 18 and became the shortest woman
in the world. Standing at 2 ft and 0.6 inches, Jyoti has achieved
worldwide fame as a result of her condition. Her short stature is a
result of achondroplasia, one of the main causes of dwarfism. Jyoti’s
fame has led to a role on the 4th season of TV show, American Horror Story, where she played “Ma Petite.
Sultan Kosen
While he’s never going to reach the ABSOLUTE
world record of 8 foot 11.1 inches (held by Robert Wadlow, who died in
1940) since he’s gotten therapy to stop his growth, Sultan Kosen, a
farmer from Turkey, is the current tallest man in the world. His height
stands at 8 foot 3 inches. Sultan is so tall he needs crutches to walk,
as his knees can’t support him.
Grace “Mule Face Woman” McDaniels
In 1888, Grace McDaniels was born. She had a
genetic disorder which basically gave her elephantiasis of the lips. The
media referred to her as the “mule face woman.” She embraced her look
(since not embracing it would have led to a life of depression) and
managed to make some good money from it traveling with the sideshow. She
gave birth to one son (who was not deformed) whom she considered her
life and joy. He eventually helped her manage her career once he grew
up.
