Anniesa Hasibuan makes the first ever designer to present a collection complete with hijab at the recently concluded New York Fashion Week 2016.

The Indonesian
womenswear brand showed all the piece from the collection complete with
hijab- a first at NYFW- to style every single piece/look presenting a
collection she revealed was inspired by her native Jakarta Indonesia
where she hails from.
Hasibuan
revealed in Jakarta hijabs are paired with chic pieces like trousers,
tops and more where modest dressing is in place and widely encouraged.
She told 'The Jakarta Post' her brand is out to promote decent and
minimalist dressing.

The collection
presented include embellished kimonos, dresses, tunics in silk and
colourful designs showing minimalist timeless pieces that got rave
reviews afterwards.
"I want to bring the
Indonesian name to the fashion world, and use my clothes to introduce
people to the different and diverse parts of Indonesia" the eponymous brand's creative director Hasibuan told 'The Jakarta Post' after presenting a collection that earned her a standing ovation.
